The Demise of Themestream and the Slimming of About.

If you look at the biographies following many of the articles published on the-vu.com you will see a common thread running through them. These wonderful  authors have also published their work on Themestream.

As the publisher of the-vu, not only do I enjoy publishing editing and writing, I also take great pleasure in online reading, and I for one was saddened by the decision to close Themestream on April 13th.

They blame the "current business climate." I can understand that. One of the writers at the-vu recently had her website closed at About.com. Kim Knode edited and presented the Ballroom and Swing Dancing page at About and that was taken away along with many others when About downsized in early April.

Here at the-vu.com, the current business climate isn't that relevant. This magazine exists to bring great writing to an exclusive band of readers who find us through search engines, and word of mouth.

As publisher, I invite Themestreamers to submit here. I invite former Abouters to submit here. I invite all writers to submit here. This should be your new home!

Long live free writing.
